For the NINTH year in a row, I’m keeping track of all the movies I’ve watched for the first time. Just like the past few years, I’ll be attempting to ensure that at least 20% of the movies I see are 20+ years old. Last year I fell short (at 13%), so I’m taking extra care this year to try to hit that list. I continue to maintain a list of films that I’m challenging myself to see, and recommendations are appreciated!
Another thing I’m doing again this year that I started doing last year is that I’ll also be tracking the full seasons I watch of television shows. Those will be tracked separately, but they deserve to be counted as well.
Note: In the header for each month, I indicate how many movies I saw during that month the prior year, indicating how many of the total films were in-theater views. For example, i saw 7 films in January 2017, 3 of them in the theater.
