When debris you launched into space lands in a fertile spot, you might want to find out the fall out.
Star Trek III: The Search For Spock
Why I Saw It: Having watched the second Star Trek movie and enjoying it, I wanted to give the third installment a try, especially because I’m told that II, III and IV are a trilogy.
What Was It About? After his death, there are signs of life in emanating from the location known to be Spock’s last known resting place.
Rating: 7.5 out of 10
Memorable Performances: There’s no doubt that I’ll never forget the performance by Christopher Lloyd… and it’s not for good reasons.
Potential Nominations for Film Quest ’12:
- None… unless I do some sort of Razzies style award…
Favorite Parts: It’s hard to say that any of the parts of this film were “favorites”, as it wasn’t necessarily an enjoyable movie. Perhaps near the end, when the world is going nuts and they’re trying to avoid getting destroyed… that part was fairly fun.
The Regrettable Aspects: The choice of Christopher Lloyd to be the main Klingon. TERRIBLE. I can’t help but think the entire film could’ve been much better if he wasn’t chosen.
Would I watch it again? Not if I have any say in the matter. It was a good movie, but not enjoyable.
To Whom Would I Recommend It? To anyone who saw and enjoyed Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan.
Next up, BRICK.
