Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol

Why I Saw It: The series went way downhill  in the second one, but the third was arguably as good as the first, so my interest level was back up. Hearing the good reviews had me even more interested in it.

Memorable Performances: Though Tom Cruise did the action movie star well yet again, the most entertaining performer in the cast was Simon Pegg. I found myself laughing at things he did frequently throughout the film.

The Regrettable Aspects: Some of the scenes – like the dust storm car chase – were a bit absurd, and it detracted from the movie, though not to any significant degree.

Would I watch it again? No doubt about it. In fact, depending on the cast, I might try to see the 5th installment in the theaters, which I don’t think I’ve done since the first one.

Rating: 8.6 out of 10

Potential Nominations for Film Quest ’12:

  • Best Supporting Actor – Simon Pegg

Lastly, I’m also looking into different formats for my reviews, so any suggestions / critiques are welcomed.
